Mirambika Crisis – justice is blind…

….and it is sometimes seen to be not only blind but selectively deaf too!

Khush to bahut hogay Manga tum ki tumahray chamche aakhir kanoon ka do joon aashirwad pa he gaye.  Biki huee hirni ek aur nakli muaayna karegi aur tum ek aur taaarik tak sapnay dekh sakogay lekin yaad rahe ki adna sa munsif bhi apna hukm kaayda kanoon dekh kar he likhta hai, yaari dosti may nahin. Iss tarah ladogay to engineering college aur patte ki zameen, tumahray chamche bacha na paayengay! School ki building ko haath lagaa kay aur apavitr mat karna nahi to pachhtaogay!

Manga the biggest lier. While the children were in the ashram and I was trying my 2 bits in trying to find a peaceful solution , I had spoken to manga. During the conversation I asked him when he had thought of opening an engineering college. Without batting an eyelid he replied ‘ a month back’. At that moment I realised what an effortless lier he is.
The way he has ruthlessly shifted the children around without thinking about what they are going through. The original Mirambika building is conducive for integral education, not this claustrophobic box he has dumped the children into. In the original building even if there was no electricity sometimes, it was bearable because of the open plan but this building becomes like a furnace.
Most of the children are unhappy in this box of a building. But manga has never considered the children , its his land he is concerned about. He considers the mirambika children spoilt, so he hasn’t really bothered to spare a single thought for them.
And of course if anyone is unhappy, pls remember you hv no rights no matter how miserable your children are feeling in the claustrophobic building.

Agar 30 saal pehele college ke liye di hui zameen par, school chalane ke liye zameen ke maalik ko koi etraaz nahin ho….aur “engineering college” ke liye etraaz ho ….toh bhi wahan par college chalna chahiye? Yeh baat bahut zaroori hai!!

Yeh school 170 ka kyon…300 ka kyon nahin? Yeh baat apnea zameer aur Dil se puchho??

Aur 9.84 acre me toh 5 acre MIS ka field bhi hai ke nahin? Hum eis baat ko kyon nahin dekhte? Why do we foget that the field is not only used mostly by MIS kids, but is also called the MIS field.

The new match box mirambika is a slow death by strangulation. SAES knows they canNOT close the school because IF SO… this very judge will take their land away and attach it to the school for ever…… ..hence this drama of shifting before a slow death like the previous 2 schools from that very same location. A location that can aptly be called, a “GRAVEYARD OF SCHOOLS”. GOD BLESS.

      Don’t work overtime on non-issues.

When Mira Nursery was functional, Matri Store ran from the adjacent building where Mirambika exists now. Adjacent to it was The Mother’s Health Centre. On the first floor were residences.

I assume that Mira Nursery was when Directorate of Education issued entry level admission guidelines subsequent to a court order and Ganguly Committee report. This meant children passing out would had to seek re-admission in The Mother’s International School since Mira Nursery and The Mother’s International were two separate schools run by two different societies. Admission to The Mother’s International was not guaranteed under the new rules.

Once The Mira Nursery School was closed, Matri Karuna Vidyalaya was opened up for the underprivileged. There was no compulsion to open up such a school. It was just pure love of one person, Tara didi. Education, Books, Uniform, Food, all for a token fee of Rs. 100 per month.

Then came the The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009. This meant that every school had be registered with the Directorate of Education and comply with all rules and regulations, depute prescribed staff and pay salaries. Many volunteers could teach well but were probably not necessarily qualified to be employed as staff. There were some other requirements too that were not viable. The school was closed, I assume, with a heavy heart.

Matri Store was then shifted in the building now vacted Matri Karuna Vidyalaya. Mirambika now exists in the building vacated by Matri Store, The Mother’s Health Centre, & the residences.

Keep in mind that the building is not the institution. It needs to be safe and in compliance of the law. That is it.

The institution is the people who work in it. If you do not trust them, then change the school. The hon’ble judge also suggested that.

      Makes sense?

Not that easy to switch schools is it? esp mirambika kids in the middle of an integral education programme.

Maybe the pro-bono lawyer of the 9 petitioners could not convey that, maybe he was outgunned by 4 senior advocates with 3 juniors each assting them in addition to the DOE lawyer.

Maybe SAES of 1, 5,7 years go is different to SAES of today? Mirmabika taught that sahas needs to be lived not just taught to red group children.

That said, you are right….school on college land and building is an issue, and so is Engg College, and so is an undemarcated campus along with a professional college.

Maybe the land is not college land if you run school for 25 years, maybe it is, maybe not…lets see….
